NetworkNature NbS Hubs
Nature-based Solutions, or NbS, are ways of working with nature and people to solve everyday challenges, like reducing floods and fire risks, cooling our cities, creating jobs, while protecting wildlife, boosting biodiversity, and improving our well-being. Instead of relying only on concrete or machines, NbS draws on the functions of living systems, such as trees, forests, rivers, coasts, wetlands, and gardens, to create healthier, more resilient places for people and nature. To sum up, NbS work with people and nature for people and nature!
NetworkNature (funded by the EU’s Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe programmes) create a platform to learn, explore, and connect with everything related to NbS. As part of the initiative, national and regional Hubs across Europe have been set up to promote the uptake of NbS. NbS Hubs are dynamic, locally-driven networks and knowledge centers designed to connect people, ideas, and action. These strategic and creative ‘one-stop shops’ act as catalysts for improving understanding and accelerating implementation of NbS within countries and regions.

The Hungarian NbS Hub, TeAM HUb
The Hungarian NbS HUb, TeAM HUb was launched in 2022. The Hub was established by a cooperation agreement of four initial HUb participants: BURST, acting as the coordinator of the Hub, the Association of Climate-friendly Municipalities, HBH Strategy and Development and Grants Europe Consulting.
With the involvement of more than 40 members representing government agencies, universities, municipalities, civil society, professional organisations, as well as involving individual experts and practitioners, TeAM HUb serves a professional community and networking platform for promoting NbS in Hungary.
TeAM Hub aims to raise awareness, build capacities and generate projects for the wider-scale application of NbS, via
- fostering multi-level, multi-stakeholder, vertical and horizontal collaboration for the design and implementation of NbS actions;
- mapping, accessing, and advising on EU and national co-funding opportunities for NbS projects;
- sharing knowledge, resources, case studies and other information related to NbS.
TeAM HUb targets stakeholders and partners in Hungary, therefore our online platforms and activities are mainly in Hungarian language.
